  • A Townsend-area man was arrested last week after he allegedly flashed a Middletown woman in the Dove Run Shopping Center.
    Brian C. Pyle is accused of exposing himself to a 34-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Giant Food supermarket at about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
    Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin III said the victim told officers she saw a man wearing crotchless work pants exposing himself from inside a vehicle with its door open.
    The man drove off after the flashing the woman, but she was able to provide his license plate number to officers, Tobin said.
    Detectives tracked the vehicle back to Pyle on Friday and charged him with one count of second-degree indecent exposure.
    Pyle later was released on a $100 unsecured bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim.
