  • Dover Police have arrested a local woman following an early morning robbery.
    The incident took place at 5:30 a.m. Dec. 19, in the parking lot of the Delaware Auto business at 319 W. Division St., said police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
    The 75-year-old victim said he was approached by a woman, later identified as Donna Hendricks, 44, of 944 Boggs Dr. Hendricks allegedly asked for gas money, but then struck the man several times in the face, took his wallet, and fled.
    Hendricks was charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree assault, and at the Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, New Castle, on an unspecified bail.
