  • Two men were arrested Thursday in connection with a pair of burglaries committed in the Crystal Run Farms neighborhood, north of Middletown, during the past two weeks.
Logan Beck, a 25-year-old resident of Crystal Run Drive, and Michael Haldeman, a 24-year-old Greenwood resident, were taken into custody during a vehicle stop near the intersection of Summit Bridge and Red Lion roads, according to New Castle County Police Department spokeswoman Officer First Class Tracey Duffy.
The two men are accused of breaking into a home in the 100 block of Crystal Run Drive on New Year’s Eve and a home in the 200 block of Crystal Run Drive on Jan. 7.
Jewelry and electronic were stolen during those burglaries, each of which occurred when the homes were unoccupied, Duffy said.
Some of the property stolen during one of the burglaries was recovered from their vehicle, she said.
Beck and Haldeman are each facing two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of theft, two counts of conspiracy, criminal mischief and acquiring a controlled substance by theft.
Each is being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in Wilmington on an $11,000 secured bail, Duffy said.
Both men also were ordered to have no contact with the victims of the burglary.
