  • Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Townsend-area man missing since last weekend.
Jose Silva, 43, reportedly left his home in the 6000 block of Summit Bridge Road about 9 a.m. on Saturday and hasn’t been seen since.
Silva is described as Hispanic, about 5’7”, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans, a black baseball cap and black work boots.
No photograph of Silva was released.
He might be operating a black and red Ford F150 with the license plate number C101333, according to Delaware State Police spokesman Cpl. John Day.
Silva has an undisclosed condition that raises a genuine concern for his safety, Day said.
Anyone with information regarding Silva’s whereabouts is asked to contact police by calling (302) 378-5218 or using the Delaware State Police Mobile Crime Tip App available for download at www.delaware.gov/apps.
