New Castle County residents can expect their sewer bills to arrive in the mail sometime around Feb. 21.
The bills, which were mailed Feb. 7, are due Monday, April 7.
County sewer service bills previously have been mailed in January and were due in late February, but because of a change in the reporting method used by some water companies, the billing schedule was delayed for 2014 only.
Payment is accepted by a variety of methods, including in person at the New Castle County Government Center, 87 Reads Way, in New Castle on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. A drop box for check or money order payments also is available 24 hours a day at the Government Center.
Payments also can be mailed to New Castle County Sewer, P.O. Box 470, Claymont, DE, 19703.
Payments through Discover Card can be made by calling the New Castle County Finance Office at (302) 323-2600, while all major credit cards are accepted online at www.nccde.org with a $5.25 processing charge for transactions of less than $650.
County residents can access their payment status and history online at www.nccde.org.
Residents who do not receive their bill by Feb. 28 are directed to call (302) 323-2600.
