A 24-year-old Townsend man was hospitalized with serious injuries Thursday night after his motorcycle struck another vehicle on South Broad Street.
Dustin Gonce was flown to Christiana Hospital where he was initially listed in critical condition, according to Middletown Police Chief Henry Tobin III.
The crash occurred about 7:40 p.m. as Gonce was driving his motorcycle south on the shoulder of South Broad Street and struck a vehicle that was attempting to make a right turn onto St. Anne’s Church Road, Tobin said.
The occupants of the other vehicle did not report any injuries, he said.
Gonce is charged with driving while suspended, failure to possess a motorcycle license and reckless driving.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, Tobin said.
