  • Gold Alert issued for missing Townsend-area man

  • Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Townsend-area man who went missing late last week.
    Bruce Sartin Sr. reportedly was last seen by family members at his home in the 900 block of Caldwell Corner Road, west of Townsend, on Thursday.
    Police were notified of his disappearance on Monday and conducted an extensive search of the area but were unable to locate the 50-year-old, according New Castle County Police Department spokeswoman Officer Tracey Duffy.
    Sartin is described as being about 5’9”, 185 pounds, with gray, balding hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. No clothing description is available at this time.
    Duffy said Sartin is believed to have left the area in his gold 2004 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab pickup truck.
    Sartin has an undisclosed medical condition that raises a concern for his safety, she said.
