Police said two unknown suspects entered the victim's residence in the Tweedsmere community in Odessa National, and one of the intruders was armed with a handgun.

New Castle County Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred Tuesday afternoon at 12:36 p.m. in the community of Tweedsmere, at Odessa National, near Townsend.

County Police responded to the reported crime in the 200 block of Aberdeen Way. When officers arrived, they learned that two unknown suspects had entered the victim’s residence. One of the intruders was armed with a handgun. During the incident, the male victim was assaulted, and property was stolen from the residence, police said.

The suspects are described as black males, in their 20s, about 6 feet tall with an average build, wearing dark clothing. Detectives are investigating the incident and are seeking assistance from the community to help identify the suspects.
