  • A woman was shot with a pellet gun during a domestic dispute Thursday in the Delaware City Mobile Home Park, and then the suspect went to the Delaware City Police Department with a gun.
    New Castle County Police have arrested Robert Love, 30, who resides in the mobile home park in the 100 block of 5th Street in the Delaware City.
    At 10:04 a.m., County Police responded to the Delaware City Police Department at 407 Clinton Street after receiving a report about a man who entered the municipal building with a gun. Assisting officers from the Delaware State Police and the Department of Natural Resources were the first to arrive on the scene, and took Robert Love into custody.
    Officers learned that Love, who was armed, entered the building and threatened female employees who were inside, police said.
    No one was injured within the municipal building.
    Officers learned that before to Robert Love went to the municipal building, he was involved in a physical altercation with a female roommate, whom he shot in the upper torso with a pellet gun while inside their residence at the mobile home park.
    The female victim was taken by ambulance to the Christiana Hospital for a non-life threatening injury, police said.
    Robert Love has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, second-degree assault, terroristic threatening, possession of marijuana, and endangering the welfare of a child. Love’s arraignment is pending, and there is no bail information available at this time, police said.
