Several hundred runners, joggers and walkers participated in the 15th Annual Relay for Life 5k in Middletown

Some fantastic Spring-like weather greeted hundred of participants in the 15th Annual Relay for Life 5K through the streets of Middletown Saturday morning.

The runners, joggers or walkers showed up well before the 8 a.m. start time. In fact, a majority of the athletes and non-athletes spend many hours in Middletown taking advantage of the numerous overnight activities. The town was essentially filled since Friday afternoon with like-minded people with a staunch goal in mind: getting rid of Cancer.

Some of the participating athletes were Cancer survivors, some are related to survivors, and others just joined up to help a great cause.

“I have a family member who is a survivor, and it’s a beautiful day, and this is a great day to help the cause, and try to get in shape for the summer,” said John M. from the Odessa area.
