  • Middletown man arrested on shoplifting and burglary charges

  • Police discovered that a Middletown man in custody on shoplifting charges was also in possession of items stolen during a burglary on South Broad Street on Monday.

  • Police discovered that a Middletown man in custody on shoplifting charges was also in possession of items stolen during a burglary on South Broad Street on Monday.
    At approximately 6:20 p.m., the Middletown Police Department responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 900 block of South Broad Street. No one was home at the time of the thefts.
    The victim described some of the stolen property which included an iPad, PlayStation 3 game system, PS3 games, and Blu-ray movies.
    Luis Lebron, 24, of Middletown was already in custody at the Middletown Police Department charges of shoplifting from Kohl's on Route 301. When Lebron was arrested for shoplifting, he had the stolen items from the South Broad Street burglary in his possession, police said.
    Lebron was charged with his original shoplifting charges, burglary and theft, police said. He was processed, arraigned and released on $3,500 unsecured bond.
