  • Smyrna Police arrest Middletown man on trespassing charge

  • A Middletown man was arrested Thursday night after Smyrna Police received a trespassing complaint.
    On Thursday at 11:24 p.m. officers of the Smyrna Police Department responded to the 300 block of East Commerce Street for a trespass complaint. Officers located a subject inside the residence who was allegedly highly intoxicated and didn’t live at the location, police said. Upon contact, police said the subject refused to comply with officers verbal commands and then allegedly became disorderly. The subject allegedly approached an officer in a menacing manner and then fought with officers prior to being detained.
    Dontain Wiggins, 42, of the 500 block of New Street in Middletown, was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest. Wiggins was released on $1,000 unsecured bond pending a future court date.
