Delaware State Police said the incident occurred Wednesday at about 4:12 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Main Street.
Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion and assault which occurred on Main Street in Townsend early Wednesday morning.
Police said the incident occurred at about 4:12 a.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Main Street, Townsend.
Two suspects wearing ski masks entered the residence and went to a bedroom, where they confronted and assaulted a 32-year-old man who had been sleeping.
One suspect rummaged through the bedroom and took items including the victim’s wallet which contained an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects fled the residence.
The male victim suffered minor injuries as a result of the assault.
The suspects are described as black males, unknown age, about 6’0” tall weighing 200 pounds with average builds. Both were last seen wearing dark clothing and ski masks covering their faces.
