The first incident happened June 27, when officers responded a shoplifting report at the Lowe's home improvement store at 500 W. Main St.
Officers learned a white man, between 45 and 55 years of age, took a chainsaw and nail gun from the store without paying. The suspect had a prosthetic left leg and used the store's electric scooter to get around.
