  • Update: Olde-Tyme Peach Festival parade winners

  • More than 10 parade participants walked away with honors from Middletown's Olde-Tyme Peach Festival parade.

  • Hundreds of people lined Middletown's downtown streets to catch the Peach Festival parade on Saturday. After marching—or rolling— up Broad Street from Everett Meredith Middle School to Main Street, many participants stopped to perform for judges and visitors.
    Judging was based on the cumulative scores of four categories: originality, showmanship, crowd appeal and peach theme.
    The winners:

    The "Peach Car Show" took place at the M.O.T Jean Birch Senior Center on Saturday as well, just after the parade.

    Vintage Antique (pre-1950s) 1933 Model A, owned by Carl Harvey
    Antique (pre-1988, cars must be more than 25 years old) 1972 Buick GS, owned by Woody Chambers
    Classic 1966 Impala, owned by Tony Lewis
    Senior Center Choice 1956 Pontiac, owned by John O'Grady
    People's Choice 1955 Chevy BelAir, owned by Lacey Lafferty
    Best in Show 2014 Porsche, owned by Susan Gonzon
