Police are still investigating, but all traffic lanes have re-opened.

A serious car crash involving two vehicles briefly halted traffic traveling southbound on Rt. 301, near West Main Street.

The crash occurred around 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to eye witnesses, the driver of a black Dodge sedan attempted to make a left turn from the northbound lane of Rt. 301 unto Sand Hill Drive in Middletown. A black Chrysler Town & Country minivan with Pennsylvania plates was approaching the intersection and it swerved to avoid hitting the Dodge.
