WHEN 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4

COST Free

Spectators will have the chance to browse a variety of artwork including: watercolors, photographs, ceramics, and limited edition, signed prints from local and regional artists displayed in the Art Gallery and Dickinson Room located on the third floor of the Opera House.

The Smyrna Opera House Art Committee chair Mark Rudinoff explains how artwork is selected for the show: “Each year the Smyrna Opera House Art Committee sits down to review artwork that has been submitted for the annual art show. It is a daunting task. This year we have chosen an amazing body of work by artists from across the state and beyond. The caliber of the work is impressive. This is one show you don't want to miss.”

Guests will have a unique opportunity to mingle with many of the artists during the opening night reception and all of the pieces are eligible for purchase – which could make for great holiday gifts.

The ‘King’ comes to town
Elvis Presley tribute artist Bob Lougheed and his dynamite band, The Mystery Machine Band, will remind you why Presley is arguably one of the greatest performers of all-time.

A Night With Elvis will be held on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

WHAT ‘A Night With Elvis’

WHEN 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5

COST $16 advanced tickets; $18 day of tickets

Lougheed, of Millsboro, has taken his love for the music of Presley and created a tribute show featuring his one-of-a-kind band. In just two years, they have performed throughout the East Coast, raising various funds for numerous charities and non-profit organizations.

Saturday the crew will showcase all the excitement of being at Presley’s 1973 Aloha from Hawaii concert, his classic 1968 comeback special and his explosive Las Vegas shows.

Lougheed said performing the Aloha set is special to him because “it really showed Elvis in his prime and his showmanship.”
