After storming out to a 23-0 lead, Middletown held on to a 41-36 dual meet win at cross-town rival Appoquinimink.

Andrew Hughes' contentious see-saw win over Carter McClung at 132 lbs. turned the tide for the Jaguars to mount a comeback but Middletown's dominance in the heavier weight classes was too much for Appo to over come.

Cavalier wins for Thomas Homier, Jason Waydelis, Jake Vick and Austin Brant helped Middletown establish their lead while Jaguar wrestlers Hughes, R.K. Simmons, Josh Smith and Kwaku Banahene pulled Appo back into the meet with wins of their own.
