The American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula will hold a Babysitter’s Boot Camp Training Session Monday, Aug. 17 and Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Wilmington office.
This two-day course includes Babysitters training, Infant and Child CPR, and First Aid Certification upon successful completion of the class. The cost is $100.
Babysitters Training teaches the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, basic care, safety and safe play.
The Infant and Child CPR and First Aid class trains you to overcome any reluctance to act in emergency situations and to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory, cardiac, or first aid emergencies in infants and children. There is a written and skills test for the CPR and First Aid portion of the course.
Also included will be a pizza lunch party on the second day of class and a Babysitters Training pin. For more information, call Sue Powell at (302) 472-6275.
