Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5, at the Delaware City Fire Company Memorial Hall, 815 Fifth Street in Delaware City.
The Firefighters Honors and Procession will immediately commence and continue to the internment at the Smyrna Odd Fellows Cemetery, 420 South DuPont Boulevard in Smyrna.
The route of the funeral procession is Route 9 to Route 72 onto Route 1 southbound to Exit 114 south of Smyrna to Route 13 northbound to Odd Fellows Cemetery. Traffic will be intermittently impacted beginning at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 5. In anticipation of possible delays in the area, DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center will be monitoring the funeral procession via radio and cameras along the route. DelDOT will have personnel positioned throughout the area to ensure traffic flow.
