• Meet at Bombay Hook’s Visitor Center for a Salt Marsh Boat Ride from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
The salt marsh grasses will be greenin’ up for summer. Shorebirds will be looking for mudflats to probe for aquatic insects. Dress for the weather and possibly a wet spray from the water. Limit eight people. To register, call (302) 653-6872.

• KINfolk invites the public to join in the celebration by attending their 10th Anniversary Dinner at 5:30 p.m. at Hotel DuPont.

Proceeds from the dinner will be used to continue KINfolk’s hospital and home laptop lending programs.

• The Town of Middletown will host it’s ninth annual Relay For Life Golf Tournament at Frog Hollow Golf Course. Tee time at 9 a.m. Registration is from 8 to 8:40 a.m.
The rain date is Friday, May 29.
The entry fee is $450 per foursome.
There will be team prizes for first, second and third place. Individual prizes will be awarded for Hole-in-One on hole six, and 16, closet to pin on hole six and 16, longest drive on hole 11 and most accurate drive on hole 15.
Coffee and doughnuts will be available during registration. If you have a player change before the tournament, call Matt at Frog Hollow Golf Course at 376-6500.
• The Sons of Italy will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. at Dover Downs Casino Buffet.
The guest speaker will be Ciro Poppiti, Esquire, an attorney, an active advocate for Italian and Italian American Culture and a businessman. He is also the founder of the IMDA Italia Trade & Cultural Center in Wilmington.

• Boy Scout Troop 39 will host their Annual Spaghetti Dinner, form 2 to 8 p.m., at the Freewill Baptist Church, 4519 S. DuPont Parkway, Townsend.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children and seniors, and free for children 8 and younger.
The menu includes salad, spaghetti, meatballs, bread and butter, dessert, coffee, tea and soft drinks.

• Jeff Lank will throw a BBQ at 2 p.m. at his house, 346 Owls Nest Drive, Bear, in appreciation for those who supported his candidacy for president of the U.S. Junior Chamber in 2010.

• White Clay Creek State Park Nature Center will go panning for creek gems starting at the nature center at 1 p.m. to check out geology specimens.
They will then head to the sandy beach along the creek to pan for garnets, magnetite and other shiny treasures.
Don’t forget to bring a pie plate with holes in it to pan. Pans will be provided for pre-registered participants.
To pre-register, please call the park office (302) 368-6900 by 3 p.m. the Friday before the program. The cost is $4 per person for those who pre-registered. The cost for participants not registered by 3 p.m. Friday is $5 per person.
• Fair Hill Races will be at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Area at the intersection of Md. 273 and 213 in Fair Hill, Md. Gates will open at 10 a.m. and races begin at 1 p.m.
The festival will feature pony rides, face painting, stick pony races for the kids and local artisans and craft fair for adults.
The schedule of events also includes Jack Russell Terrier races, a tailgate contest and a tribute to our veterans.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. They will be on sale at Buck’s Resturant, Cecil Federal Bank, Fair Hill Liquors, Fair Hill Shell, NBRS Financial Bank, Peoples Bank of Elkton, Prizzio’s Deli and Wesley’s.
