The Middletown Police Department has released more information on the suspects and vehicles involved in Wednesday’s shootout at a Middletown shopping center.

Two suspects reportedly shot at each other in the parking lot of the Dove Run Shopping Center on East Main Street (Route 299) Wednesday at about 3:30 p.m.

After the altercation, both men went back to their vehicles and fled the scene, one in 2007 GMC Yukon and the other in a 2007 Dodge Caliber. Both vehicles had Delaware license plates, police said.

The driver of the Yukon is described as a thinly-built black male, about 6 feet tall with an afro. The driver of the Caliber was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall with a thin build, wearing dark clothing.

Police said a third vehicle was in the same area of the parking lot during the time of the shootout and left the parking lot after the shooting. The vehicle was described as a dark-colored sports utility vehicle but no further description is available.

There is no indication of any injuries to anyone at this time, police said.
