Due to inclement weather, Delaware’s “Make A Splash” water festival was rescheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 5 at Delaware National Estuarine Research Reserve — St. Jones Reserve, 818 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover; and John Dickinson Plantation, 340 Kitts Hummock Road, Dover.
“Make a Splash” is an annual event that provides interactive water activities developed to educate students on the importance of water and water resources management. Students will participate in 25 hands-on activities, learning about the diversity of estuary life and the impacts to Delaware’s water resources and their historical and current uses. Nearly 770 fourth-grade students and teachers from seven schools will attend.
