City officials were joined by the fourth-grade class from Rehoboth Elementary School along with volunteers to celebrate Arbor Day on April 28 in Stockley Street Park in Rehoboth Beach.
Mayor Sam Cooper read the Arbor Day proclamation. The city was named a Tree City USA for the 26th year. This designation, awarded by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service and the National Association of State Foresters, was earned for the city of Rehoboth Beach's tree canopy stewardship and continued commitment to a green city.
