Shane Brown, 37, of Wilmington was arrested after being found in possession of 1,113 bags of heroin, 25.8 grams of crack cocaine, 9 grams of powder cocaine, 8 Ecstasy tablets, 33 grams of marijuana, 1 semi-automatic handgun, and $4,042.00 in suspect drug sale proceeds.

Delaware State Police arrested a Wilmington man on gun and drug charges Friday, May 19, following a month long investigation into illegal drug sales. 

New Castle County Governor's Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Shane Brown, 37, located in the unit block of Jill Court, Wilmington. The search came after the culmination of a month-long investigation of "open air" drug dealing which had been occurring in the Holly Oak Apartments.

During the investigation, Brown was identified by G.T.F. members as a supplier of illegal drugs which had been sold from the apartment complex. Upon execution of the search warrant, Brown was taken into custody without incident and investigators seized 1,113 bags of heroin, 25.8 grams of crack cocaine, 9 grams of powder cocaine, 8 Ecstasy tablets, 33 grams of marijuana, 1 semi-automatic handgun, and $4,042.00 in suspect drug sale proceeds.

Brown was transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with Possession with the Intent to Deliver Heroin in a Tier 4 Quantity, Possession of Heroin in a Tier 5 Quantity, Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine in a Tier 4 Quantity, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 5 Quantity, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He was arraigned at JP Court 2 and committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution in default of $738,900.00 cash bail.
