The University of Delaware New Castle County Cooperative Extension will host a disease and insect identification workshop from 4 to 6 p.m. July 19 in room 102 of Townsend Hall, 531 S. College Ave., Newark.

Attendees can learn what signs and symptoms the extension specialists use to identify pests and diseases. Tips and techniques will be shared. Specimens will be available to look at using hand lenses and microscopes. The instructors will be Nancy Gregory and Brian Kunkel.

Cost is $15 per person at the door, cash or check.
