The Friends of Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge are accepting entries for its 14th annual Nature Photography Contest.

This is a showcase for nature photography on Delmarva. The contest is open to all photographers, and there are several categories with chances to win awards.

This year will feature a special award for winners in The Beauty of Prime Hook category. Photographs will be on display from Oct. 22 to Dec. 10, and the exhibition will be kicked off with an opening reception for the artists and the general public at 2 p.m. Oct. 22. Viewers will decide the People’s Choice Award, which will be presented at the conclusion of the exhibition.

Entries in the annual nature photography contest highlight the landscapes and wildlife of Delmarva.

To be entered in the contest, photographs must be mailed or hand-delivered to the Refuge Office on or before Oct. 15. The Refuge address is 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton. Drop off hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The entry fee is $5 per photograph, or six entries for $25, and must be included with the submitted photographs. Student entries are free.
