The Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce announced the third annual Corntober BrewFest State Cornhole Championship Tournament will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at the town of Whitehall, 900 Lorewood Grove Road, Middletown.

Co-sponsored by the Wilmington Cornhole Association and the town of Whitehall, it is the state's only Cornhole Championship Tournament sanctioned by Gov. Jack Markell as a state of Delaware Division Championship Tournament.

Corntober Brewfest will feature music by Ridin' Shotgun; food by 301 Plaza, Half Baked Patisserie, Candy Connections and Kona Ice; and a selection of fall brews and activities. Registration for cornhole teams is $40 in advance; $50 at the door. The rain date is Oct. 1.

General admission is $5, and children 12 and younger are admitted for free. A portion of the proceeds benefit the MACC Foundation, with scholarships to graduating students and also supports businesses through the Middletown Business Incubator & Collaborative Workspace.
