A Lidl grocery store will open on Thursday, Aug. 31 in Middletown, the first Lidl store in Delaware.
Located at 359 Auto Park Dr., off of U.S. 301, the store open at 8:00 a.m., immediately following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:40 a.m.
The newly constructed building, measuring about 20,000 square feet, will have only six aisles with an easy design layout, said a company press release.
The store will have freshly baked goods, fresh seafood, organic food and gluten-free food.
“About 90 percent of the high-quality groceries available at Lidl will be exclusive brand products,” said the company. “Each product on Lidl shelves will be rigorously tested to ensure that it meets our high-quality standards.”
