The state Department of Transportation has announced lane closures for work on the new U.S. 301 project for this week.

Monday, Sept. 11 through Thursday, Sept. 14

Continue bridge construction activities on Boyd’s Corner Road (SR 896). Motorists should anticipate an eastbound or westbound lane closure on Boyds Corner Road (SR 896) west of Cedar Lane with traffic alternating through the work zone utilizing a flagging operation by construction personnel from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left or right lane closure along NB and SB SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

Continue roadway widening activities along SB US Route 13. Motorists should anticipate a single right lane closure along SB US Route 13 between the Free Ramp to SR 1 and Port Penn Road from 9:00AM to 2:00PM.

Monday Sept. 11 through Thursday, Sept. 14 – Nightshift

Continue bridge construction activities along SR 1. Motorists should anticipate a single left lane closure along NB and SB SR 1 between the Biddles Toll Plaza and the Roth Bridge from 9:00PM to 6:00AM.

Detours and Roadway Closures

Northbound U.S. 13 between Hyetts Corner Road and Port Penn Road will be closed on Friday, September 8 at 7:00 p.m. through Monday, September 11, 2017 at 6:00 a.m.

This closure will detour traffic to Pole Bridge Road, to Port Penn Road and back to U.S. 13.

Truck traffic will be urged to use SR 1 as the alternate route for through traffic to points north.

Southbound SR 1 will be closed on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. between the Roth Bridge and Pole Bridge Road. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour of Lorewood Grove Road (Exit 148) to U.S. Route 13 south to Pole Bridge Road and back to SR 1.
