The robbery happened Sept. 5 at M&T Bank on East Main Street

A Middletown man wanted on charges of robbing the M&T Bank in Middletown was found with more than 200 bags of heroin during his arrest, police said.

The robbery was reported to Middletown police Sept. 5 at about 9:30 a.m., and officers responded to the bank at 399 E. Main St.

Police said the suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, and demanded money. The suspect obtained about $1,640 and fled on foot.

The suspect was later identified as Todd Miller, 23, of Middletown.

On Sept. 6, an arrest warrant was obtained for Miller on charges of first-degree robbery and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony.

A short time later, he was taken into custody in the 300 block of Hostetter Boulevard in Middletown, and was found to be in possession of 221 bags of suspected heroin, police said.

As a result, Miller also charged with possessing a controlled substance in a tier 1 quantity, police said.

Miller was arraigned on the above listed charges, as well as additional outstanding warrants. He was issued a total of $44,500 secured bail and was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center while awaiting another court appearance.
