— Delaware State University annual homecoming with parade, Oct. 15, Dover: Motorists can expect possible lane restrictions and delays in traffic beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 15 for the annual homecoming parade on Loockerman Street in downtown Dover. After the parade, a football game will be held at the Delaware State University's Alumni Stadium. The main entrance will be closed at Delaware State University. — Milford Community Parade, Oct. 18, Milford: The annual Milford Community Parade will start at 6 p.m. Oct. 18 on Seabury Avenue to Walnut Street and end at Northeast Front Street at the high school. — Monster "Mash" Marathon and Half Marathon, Oct. 21, Dover: Motorists can expect an interruption in traffic from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m., and watch out for runners crossing U.S. 13 at Leipsic Road and U.S. 13 at Route 8. Motorists are advised to use extra caution and share the road with runners in downtown Dover; Route 9; and Little Creek on Oct. 21. — University of Delaware Homecoming, Oct. 21, Newark. Motorists can expect delays in traffic in downtown Newark surrounding the University of Delaware beginning at 7 a.m. Oct. 21. There also may be a lane closure on northbound Route 896 to allow free flow traffic coming from Interstate 95 southbound. The lane closure may be in place starting at 7 a.m. and will be cleared by 1 p.m. The football game will be held at the University of Delaware's Delaware Stadium. For more, visit

— Sea Witch Festival, Oct. 27-29, Rehoboth. The annual festival will be held in Rehoboth on Oct. 27-29. Arrive early; Rehoboth Avenue will be closed to all traffic at 10 a.m. Oct. 28 and will reopen after the costume parade about 3 p.m. Satellite parking areas will be available for visitors traveling on both north and southbound along state Route 1. Shuttle service will operate from Tower Ocean, the Rehoboth Beach Park and Ride, Epworth Church and the Rehoboth Little League field Saturday to bring festival goers into the resort area.
