Along with the overall trophy, the Cavaliers won first place for visual effects, first place for music, first place for drumline, first place for color guard and second place for drum major.

The Middletown High School Cavalier Marching Band won first place in the Region 9 Championship Oct. 21.

The band’s score of 95.25 was the highest regional championship score Middletown has received in its history.

Senior Eric Abner was also presented with a Tournament of Bands Scholarship.

Band finishes fourth at ACC

The Cavalier Marching Band placed fourth at the Atlantic Coast Championships Sunday at Hershey, Pennsylvania, scoring a 95.9.

The placing and the score were both the highest the band has ever achieved at the ACC.
