Proceeds benefit theatre's capital improvements

The Everett Theatre in downtown Middletown will hold a benefit concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, as a fundraiser for the theatre's capital improvements.

For the event, the theater will bring back some favorite performers from the last four years of shows. The performers have chosen some of their favorite songs and memories to share.

“All proceeds will go towards the capital campaign, which we will be discussing more at the event,” said Christopher Everett, the theater’s executive director

“The theatre is now 95 years old, and there is a lot that needs done in order to provide the high-quality experience our guests deserve, as well as ensure that the theatre lasts for generations to come,” Everett said.

Performers at the benefit concert include magician Wayne Gonce, as well as numerous actors from past shows such as Disney's Beauty & the Beast, The Secret Garden, Once on this Island, Peter Pan, Shrek, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Seussical, and more.

Tickets are $25 per seat and can be purchased ahead of time at https://app.arts-people.com/index.php?show=83792
