Four hour outage applies to Middletown residents

Electricity will be disconnected to the entire town of Middletown for four hours early Thursday morning, so Delmarva Power can perform tests, the town government announced on its website.

The power will be disconnected between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday (March 15). It will only affect people who live in town limits, a town spokeswoman said.

“Delmarva Power is required for Federal Compliance, to test its 138 KV relays that connect to the Town of Middletown’s electric substation, therefore, power will be disconnected to the Town,” the town’s website said.

The announcement on the town’s website was the text of a reverse 911 call sent to residents.
