"Over the Edge" offers the opportunity to rappel 17 stories (222 feet) down the side of a Wilmington skyscraper to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Delaware.
Special Olympics Delaware is once again offering thrill seekers the chance to go "Over the Edge" to raise funds for the group.
In "Over the Edge," participants can rappel 17 stories (222 feet) down the side of a Wilmington skyscraper to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Delaware.
The event will be held Thursday, May 10 at the 300 Delaware Avenue Building in Wilmington.
For the fourth straight year, the event will be streamed live on the internet so anyone anywhere in the world can watch you go "Over the Edge."
Each participant registers with a $50 deposit to reserve a spot and then raises a total of $1,100 for Special Olympics Delaware for the opportunity to rappel.
Sponsors include TD Bank, Brandywine Realty Trust and New Castle County Volunteer's Fire Service.
Last year's event included 86 edgers raising more than $138,000, bringing the six-year total to 528 edgers raising $896,000 for Special Olympics Delaware.
