Three years ago the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation opened the area's first business incubator and collaborative workspace, and now the project has moved to a larger, state-of-the-art facility.
The Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) held the grand opening of its new location for the Middletown Business Incubator and Collaborative Workspace May 1.
The site is 1050 Industrial Drive, Suite 110, off of West Main Street in Middletown.
Three years ago the area's first business incubator and collaborative workspace opened through the MACC Foundation and has welcomed over 21 businesses within the program since inception of May 2015.
The new space will offer businesses with the opportunity to share collaborative workspace, rent offices and take advantage of copier services, Wi-Fi, mail services and welcome clients in a state of the art facility.
In addition, through the chamber membership program, participants will be able to network, utilize web based technology and attend workshops to assist them with their business endeavors.
The ribbon cutting May 1 kicked off Small Business Week and over 125 attendees celebrated at the new location.
"We've worked hard over the years to create an environment that is supportive of businesses," said Bill O'Neal, MACC Foundation President.
MACC President Nick Ryan said, "The MACC looks forward to the opportunity to support and champion entrepreneurs in our new state of the art facility."
The Chamber's Toastmasters group will now meet at the new location on the second and fourth Mondays of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
