Rommel Harley-Davidson has announced plans to build a new, state-of-the-art dealership in Middletown.
“The new dealership is being built from the ground up with the Harley rider in mind,” the company said in a press release last week. “This new location will have all the modern amenities today’s riders demand but maintain an authentic brand experience that has been part of the Harley heritage for over 115 years.”
In March, Middletown Council approved the plan for the motorcycle sales and service center, totaling 53,000 square feet, on five acres in the Westown Business Park on U.S. Route 301.
Rommel Harley-Davidson has hired Fresh Design Group International to design the new dealership. The project's targeted completion date is 2020.
Dave Rommel, owner and dealer principal, said his company has built a reputation on delivering an outstanding customer experience.
“This new facility will provide our customers with what they’ve been telling us they want, like expanded service capabilities, a larger selection of motorcycles, a huge parts and accessories inventory, the latest in Harley-Davidson fashion and most of all a great location with tremendous amenities close by,” Rommel said.
The Middletown location will also feature a special tribute.
“It will be one of the only Harley-Davidson dealerships in the country to have a permanent memorial dedicated to our American heroes including military and first responders,” said Rommel.
Rommel Harley-Davidson in New Castle will ultimately transition to the new facility in Middletown. In the meantime, they will be temporarily housed at the Rommel H-D location in Smyrna.
“Riders in the area needn’t worry,” said Rommel Harley-Davidson President Brad Hopkins. “We, at Rommel Harley-Davidson, are committed to the brand, the lifestyle and the people who share our passion for riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The Smyrna location is ideally situated in the central part of the state and will serve the riding community well until our new Middletown facility is completed. The new dealership in Middletown will be the premier place for area Harley enthusiasts and their families. With the Heroes Memorial, a state-of the art building and technology, and the multitude of restaurants and bars in Middletown, there will be plenty to see and do for all riders.”
Rommel Harley-Davidson also has dealerships in Seaford, Delaware and Annapolis, Maryland.
“Rommel H-D is a recognized leader in customer service and a proud supporter of our military and first responders. Rommel dealerships are pet friendly and driven to exceed our customers’ expectations,” the press release stated.
