The Middletown and Bear Liberty Tax Service offices recently launched its “My Dream for America Contest,” open to young people ages 3 to 18. This essay/drawing contest is designed to encourage young people to share and capture their dreams and vision for the future of our country in a written essay, or in a drawing for children younger than 6. Childcare, school and church groups, and other youth organizations are encouraged to participate as well.
Essay entries should be 150 to 200 words for those 7 to18. Children who are 6 and younger can submit drawings. Age group categories are: 6 and younger, 7 to 11, 12 to 15, and 16 to 18.
Each entry may be dropped off at a local Liberty Tax Office by Thursday, April 15. In partnership with Liberty Tax and several other local businesses, prizes will be awarded to every child who participates. Larger prizes will be given for the top three in each age group.
Winners will be announced Tuesday, April 20.
