Appoquinimink students will be coming back a day earlier from winter break than students at surrounding districts.
Winter break for students will be from Friday, Dec. 23 until Sunday, Jan. 1 this school year.
Schools will reopen Monday, Jan. 2.
The district decided to have students return a day early so that they could provide a four-day break over Memorial Day weekend when the weather is warm.
