Members of the community played a major role in helping state authorities shut down a nuisance property south of Townsend earlier this month, according to Carl Kanefsky, a spokesman for the Delaware Department of Justice.The DOJ secured a court order under the state’s Criminal Nuisance Abatement Act, to close the house located at 1172 Dexter Corner Road, by March 18.
