Bystanders assist man injured by saw

    Several bystanders assisted a man injured by a concrete saw in front of Main Street News & Tobacco on 14 East Main St. July 26 at 12:12 p.m.

    Middletown police said bystanders helped David Dill, 41, of Wyoming, after a saw he was operating kicked back and struck him in the left shoulder and neck area. The bystanders held pressure on his neck with shirts they removed from their backs.

   The laceration was bleeding profusely and Dill was flown to Christiana Hospital by Delaware State Police helicopter. He was in stable condition at the hospital.
