Middletown Police arrested a local restaurant manager Feb. 26 after a former employee reported that he had groped her on five separate occasions during the course of her employment. The alleged juvenile victim was employed under the supervision of Raul Batz, 32, of Elkton, Md.
Batz was charged with five counts of unlawful sexual contact III and one count of sexual harassment.
In the course of the investigation, it was determined that Batz was in the United States illegally from Guatemala the past 14 years.
Batz was committed to the Howard Young Correctional Facility in default of $7,000 secured bond and ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim. United States Immigration Customs Enforcement also placed a detainer on Batz pending his hearing for deportation back to Guatemala.
