During the month of October, Clevens K-9 Scoop, LLC is having a Dog Food Drive to help local shelters and rescues. Through their contact with these shelters and rescues, owners Michael and Tracy Clevens hear loud and clear that help is needed now more than ever before.
Picking up the dog waste in clients’ backyards is usually what Clevens K-9 Scoop does, but during the month of October they are asking clients along with any other Delaware residents to be a part of their Pet Food Drive.
"Through our contact with area shelters and rescues, we see how hard the volunteers work and many of these groups only survive on the donations they receive," Tracy said. "We want to help, and decided to start an annual pet food drive each October."
To keep it easy, Clevens K-9 Scoop will come to your home, pick-up any pet food donations and deliver them to local pet shelters and rescues.
"We want this to be as easy as possible for people to donate," Michael said. "Our Pet Waste    Removal Techs drive all over New Castle County, cleaning up pet waste from our clients' yards, which makes it possible for us to easily pick-up food donations along the way."
To donate, go to the company's website at www.k9scoop.com and click on the link for the Pet Food Drive. From there, you will be directed to enter your information for a pet food pick-up and the Clevens K-9 Scoop team will come to your front door to pick up your donation.
Acceptable donations include unopened and non-expired dry or wet food or treats for dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and rabbits. The website also lists the food wish lists of the involved shelters and rescues.
For more information or to see where the donations are going, go to www.k9scoop.com.
