The Townsend Fire Company awarded Townsend Elementary School students in Mrs. Bear and Mrs. Moxley’s fifth grade class a pizza and ice cream party Thursday for having the greatest turn out at their recent open house.
Jeff Lightcap, a volunteer with the fire company, said that the class won by four students.
The children were treated with pizza and ice cream sundaes for this.
