Lee Jackson Sweetman III of Malvern, Ark., passed away June 8, 2010, at HSC Medical Center. He was 42.
Mr. Sweetman was born March 22, 1968, in Elkton, Md.
He worked as a team manager at Sykes, where he also implemented the ISIS program.
He was a tissue and organ donor, and after his passing two to four people benefitted from transplants that significantly improved the quality of their lives.
In Mr. Sweetman’s honor, Sykes has started the Leaders Encouraging Excellence (LEE) award.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Jackson Sweetman Jr.; his grandparents, Lee Jackson Sr. and Elsie Sweetman, and Leonard and Edith Gesullo; two uncles, Lanny and Jerry Gesullo; and a cousin, Debbie Gesullo.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, JoAnne and Alfred Sammons of Smyrna; two daughters, Amber Sweetman and Tea-Marie Sweetman of Malvern, Ark.; a brother, Jeffrey Lee Sweetman of Newark; a sister and a brother-in-law, Gina and Thomas Dougherty of Dover; a grandchild, Baylee Sweetman; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Local services will be Saturday, June 26, at 11 a.m., in Ewell’s-St. Paul U.M. Church in Clayton. Pastor Kristina Schonewolf will officiate.
Burial was in Harp Cemetery.
