Sally McCool Thornton of Dover passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. She was 66.
Ms. Thornton was born Aug. 21, 1943, daughter of Clara N. “Dolly” Thornton and the late Eugene Thornton Jr.
She was formerly a resident of Elkton Md., Middletown, Salisbury, Md., Le Sueur, Minn., Irapuato, Mexico, and Chapel Hill, N.C..
She is survived by her mother; two children, Karen Louise Dow and James Eugene McCully; two sisters, Louise Burns and Eugenia Thornton; four grandchildren, James Glenn McCully, Natalie Rose McCully, Jason Thornton Dow and Sarah Nicole Dow; and a nephew, Patrick Burns.
Services will be Saturday, Jan. 30, at 3:30 p.m. at the Westminster Village Community Center, 1175 McKee Road, Dover.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
