Leonard Paul “Yogi” Pitcher of Middletown passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, at home. He was 60.
Mr. Pitcher was employed for 23 years with Amtrak. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Yogi enjoyed fishing, hunting and crabbing in his spare time. He was a member of Middletown VFW Post 3792.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Sarah Jane Pitcher; and two brothers, Doug and Benny.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carolyn; six brothers, Dave, Bobby, Walter, Jimmy, Lloyd, and Jack; many nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Jack Evans.
Committal services with military honors will be held Thursday, March 26, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Middletown VFW Post 3792, P.O. Box 185, Middletown, DE 19709.
