    Michael Joe Jester of Townsend went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009.  He was 44.
    Mr. Jester proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines.  He was 44.
    He was employed for six years as a code enforcement officer in Townsend.  
    Mr. Jester enjoyed camping, tinkering with things, and was always available to help people.    He cherished the times he spent with his family.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Lavera Jester.  
    He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Susan J. Jester; two sons, Michael Joe Jester II, and Tucker Ronald Paul Jester; two daughters and a son-in-law, Samantha D. and Brad Clevenger, and Brandie Allysun Jester; three brothers, Philip Jester, David Jester and Jack Jester; a sister, Linda Guise; two grandchildren, Garric and Jaylen; and his mother-in-law, Joan Holzman
    A memorial service in celebration of Mr. Jester’s life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at Love of Christ Church, 2157 Bear Corbitt Road, where friends may call one hour earlier.
    Burial will be private.  
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE  19702 to assist the family with expenses.
