Wyman E. Rodgers Sr. of Townsend died Thursday, June 11, in Christiana Hospital, Newark. He was 52.
Mr. Rodgers worked as an interventionist at Everett Meredith Middle School.
He was a proud member of Middletown High School football team under Coach Bill Billings.
He was the husband of Janet Rodgers; son of Elizabeth and the late Jesse Rodgers; father of Wyman Eric Jr., Jason, Clara, Jemeel and Xavier Rodgers, David Fountain, Shari and Denise Cartwright and Brad Richardson; brother of Jesse, Demetrius, McClenon, Kevin, DaRon and Emanuel Rodgers, Jessica Wright, Dulcena Kemmberlin and Rhonda Rodgers. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; two late great-granddaughters; two Godchildren, Shawn and Zianna Rodgers; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Everett Meredith Middle School , 504 S. Broad St., Middletown.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, at the school, where friends may call at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery.
